Around the Lake March 2017
The weather has been getting warmer even though summer is technically over, but we are hoping for some great weather for the up coming final rounds in the South Island Series and for the NZ Jet Sports Nationals in Wellington later this month. We hope you've all been keeping up your training or enjoying the lake on these nice days and will see you all out there this weekend for some more action packed racing.
SIC & SISS 2016/17 Rd5
The South Island Champs 2017 is on this weekend 11th & 12th March, with a combined Dyers Road ITM SISS Rd5 as part of the racing on Sunday 12th. We will have some more great close racing for everyone to come down and see. Please make sure if you are competing that you are onsite and registered by 8 and 8:45am so we can get all the logistics sorted and racing underway close to 10:15am after a riders briefing.
We also require help with lake prep in the morning and will have full scrutineering on the road with first in first served.
Also a big thanks to Dyers Road ITM for their ongoing support of CJSC and its events.
Prize Giving
Prize giving for SIC's and SISS has been set for Sunday 12th March from 5:30pm at Dux Central, we will be upstairs on the right hand side.
Junior Development
We have a Junior Development Basic Handling Course set for Saturday 11th March before racing from 8:30am. If you want to get your 10-15 year old into racing they need to do this course to be eligible to then ride at the set times on the lake between race days. We currently have 3 spots left for this course, please get in touch with Amy asap to register your interest.
Also if you are intending to have your child compete in Nationals this year in Wellington, they must come to the 2 day South Island Champs this weekend. They will be assessed by club officials during this event to determine whether they have the competency required to race at Nationals.

NZ Jet Sport Nationals 2017
The 2017 Nationals will be held on Porirua Harbour at Onepoto Clubrooms. They will be run over 3 days from March 31st to April 2nd and will be hosted by the Wellington Jet Sport Club. We will be running five rounds on Friday, four rounds on Saturday and three rounds on Sunday. We will be running Watercross just prior to lunch Saturday and Sunday. Please note we will not have any tents or onsite security so you will need to transport your skis to and from the race venue for all race days. There will be parking available at the venue but you need to have your own trolley, you will not be able to launch your ski’s directly from your trailers.
