Around the Lake February 2018
Gidday everyone, hope you had a great couple of months off over the Christmas and New Years break. The weather has been great for Jetskiing with a bit of random stuff in between. We have already held our 3rd round of the South Island Summer Series back on the 28th of Jan and it was a great day with excellent conditions for racing. However it is really starting to get busy in the background now to get everything sorted for the final 2 rounds of SISS which is also combined with South Island Champs and the last 2 rounds of the NZ Tour. This of course is going to be followed up by the NZ Jet Sport Nationals 2018 in March being hosted by CJSC at our Lake. Entries for all of these events are online from our website, Nationals entries will go up after the current event has been.
SISS, SIC, NZ Tour
The next set of events all being held together over Saturday and Sunday are now just under 2 weeks away and it is time to make sure you've got all your gear ready and your entry forms in. Entry to these events is to be done online from the CJSC website (Online Entry) if you have any issues with this please get in contact with the club (info@canterburyjetsportsclub.co.nz) and we will assist you through this. Because of how big of a task this event is with setup, entries are required to be done by end of day Wednesday 21st Feb. After this there will be a $30 late payment fee added to your entry. Payment must also be received before you will be allowed to race. Our preferred options are internet transfer (details are sent with your confirmation email) and PayPal (instant payment). We will accept payment at the event but if you don't pay first thing in the morning we will not allow you to race. All racers will need to be at the lake by 830am so we can get all requirements underway including waivers being signed. This way we will be able to kick the event off in a timely manner and not be playing catch up all day. Also anyone who may be interested in ski marshaling please contact us so we can organise a plan of rotating people on and off the water. We look forward to seeing you all there for a great event. Nationals 2018
Planning has been underway for a long time now for this event and it still requires a lot more work from the committee to get it to that final point. Online entries will be out shortly after the final summer rounds held on the 24/25 of Feb. Once we get to that point there will be a lot more information to release so that everyone has a clear picture of what this event will be. Please be patient and understand that it is a huge amount of work to organise an event like this and the people in the background doing it are working extremely hard to make sure it is a great event.
