Around the Lake May 2016
Well the weather has meant to have been a lot colder over the past month and here we are still breaking into the 20s regularly. With this of course the lake has had more use during this time of year than it normally does. We hope you are all having a great time out there and enjoying yourselves.
Junior Development
As you should all be aware by now the CJSC has been working with NZJSBA, the Harbormaster and Wayne Middleton over the past year and got the Junior Development class up and running. With this all sorted and underway we have had a very good positive uptake of new young riders into this training. Because of this we also have a sub-committee to organise and run this training. Any inquires related to this can be directed to Glenn Chisholm on 021 777 212.
With this we have organised set times for the Junior Development class to have the lake for themselves. Effective immediately the lake we be shut down for Junior Development only on Wednesdays from 4pm to 530pm and Sundays from 10am-12. Please remember during these times you will not be able to use the lake, a sign will be on the gate during these times to make people aware of this also.
Lake Access Closure
The Harriers club have a meet coming up on the 30th of July, during this event they require unobstructed use of our access road. The committee have voted on this and agreed that the Harriers can have the use of our access road. Because of this the Access Road will be closed on 30th July from 12-3:30pm, lake use is not closed during this time though.
So if you are on the lake from 11:50am you will be stuck in there until 3:30pm unless you leave before midday and vice versa. Again the access road is closed but lake use is not. We appreciate your cooperation with the Harriers club as we have a good relationship with them.
